The pool bathrooms were the cleanest I've ever seen at a resort - very much appreciated this attention! Aside from a negative interaction with the hotel manager who was not friendly or very helpful after our vehicle's windshield was shattered by a golf ball in the valet lot, the rest of the staff was wonderful. "Check in was not great. Our room was not ready which is understandable but when it was ready, they sent us to the wrong tower... clear across the entire property. Our view, supposed to be Garden View, we saw a parked cars looking at their grill and headlights. I would not stay there again."

I’m a Hilton person and compare it to a run down Hilton Doubletree. Food was below average - Luau food was comparable to a Golden Corral - almost inedible. Like airplane food on a domestic flight. "The staff was nice property needs some updates a bit , it had a must smell like a wet smell throughout hallways and rooms didn’t like that made it feel heavy just by the smell other then that the stay was ok food was fair loved my ocean view room. A lot of excursions was cancelled because of flood/rains including the one at Royal Lahana "

"Went for our honeymoon and the Whaler didn’t disappoint. The room was clean and set up pretty well. The communication and follow up was the best I’ve experienced, we wanted to experience a bunch of local spots and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. The location is perfect. Very centralized to snorkeling, pool, or the ocean. A bunch of good food in walking distance and even some others for a short drive. Was able to whale watch from the room and a short walk to black rock we seen dolphins....

"Lokation am Traumstrand. Gartenbereich sehr schön. Parkplätze gut. 3 große gute Gasgrills zum Nutzen. Betten gut aber etwas durchgelegen. Nicht ganz sauber nach deutschem Standard. Viele Familien mit Kindern, sodass teilweise etwas Betrieb. Trotzdem sehr angenehm. In der Nähe kann man gut am Stand spazieren oder joggen gehen. Alles in Allem, sehr zu empfehlen."

" The room didn’t really have a balcony, just a very narrow space about 12” wide that you could stand on, no chairs would fit. Also, the ocean view was very very small. These two things were very disappointing since the room was advertised as having a balcony. Our room smelled heavily like marijuana when we first arrived, and the toilet had not been cleaned. When we asked to switch rooms, we were told they were at 98% capacity, and there were no comparable rooms. So the value for what we paid...
