Everything on my experience is fine with this good price. The only thing that is a little sad is the soundproof is not that good, if you’re scared by passing cars, you will be sad. But it’s very good place to stay for good price and experience.

We like this hotel because it’s close to Surfside beach and it’s satisfactory to our needs with pricing and cleanliness. Food choices and shopping are exceptional in this area. Staff is always accommodating and friendly.

Don’t let the pictures lead you to booking. Much to be desired. Outside very filthy, inside bad smells. Mattress terrible, breakfast very basic nothing to substantiate photos.

In addition to being dirty, the walls and ceiling had old paint, there was no maid service on any day, they didn't change the bath towels or make the beds, it was so bad that we returned 1 day early. The hotel was poorly maintained, the pool was dirty, the floor was dirty, it was so bad that there were only 4 guests at most. The photos are beautiful but they must have been taken when the hotel opened.

My family and I stayed here for the price and location. The Staff was friendly, the room, the AC was not blowing too cold even though it was set to maximum. The TV controller had rust and it wasn't working. The morning breakfast, there wasn't too much variety and some fruit flies were around the apple juice area.

Nice low-cost place to stay

Overall, a nice place to stay. Upon arrival we had some doubts. The outside looks a bit run down (as many of the other places do too, due to the salt from the ocean). The staff was very friendly, and the lobby was nice. We had asked for a first-floor room (due to surgery on my husband's leg) which is not what they booked us in. However, the staff was able to rectify the situation. The room was very clean and surprisingly big, with plank flooring (no rugs to hide dirt). It is located on the side (service) road near the highway but was very quiet in the back of the building. It is located 8 miles from Surfside Beach and is a quick and easy drive to get there. The pool was small but very clean. It has a few lounge chairs and a lift for disabled people if needed. The breakfast was mediocre. They had plain bread (and a toaster), cereal (fruit loops and cheerios), yogurt (one brand and one flavor), apples, and a one waffle maker (for approx 15 or more people each morning, so a long line). They could improve this greatly by replacing the bread with packaged muffins or packaged pastries). We did have one issue. We had been at the beach all day ($15 a day to park on the beach) and when we got back our room hadn't been cleaned. We called the front desk, and they said the cleaning staff had left for the day. Upon my insistence, they said the manager would call me. The manager actually drove back and cleaned our room herself!! That was good customer service.

The pictures on the website must be from another location because this location is a Super 8 hotel with a Quality Inn logo. First, there was a roach crawling on the entertainment center and my 6 year old noticed but it went into a hole so we couldn't kill it. Then as we were about to put our food in the refrigerator, there was a dead roach in the freezer section. I asked for housekeeping but the Front Desk said that housekeeping was gone for the day & it was 12:23 pm so they offered to have housekeeping come the next day. I refused and then they moved us to another room. As we were so inconveniently moving to another room, I noticed my medication was missing. I checked my luggage, the room from top to bottom-multiple times and my vehicle before I called the Front Desk to ask if anyone had been in my room. Of course they said no, yet had no proof because the Front Desk said the worker who operated the camera was not onsite and wouldn't be back until the next day. So, with my medicine disappearing, I tried to take a hot shower to avoid further stressing my children out with how much pain I was in...and the bathtub was clogged. This morning we went to the complicomplimentary breakfast and while my children were eating, an enormous cockroach struggled itself near them and literally died by their feet. Their appetites were ruined. I informed the front desk and an older lady went and swept up the roach even though she was complaining that she was already off the clock. I spoke with

El hotel esta en buenas condiciones, las habitaciones limpias, con un poco de olor a humedad una de ellas pero pedimos cambio y nos lo dieron, las camas y almohada s muy comodas. El aire acondicionado funcionó muy bien. La alberca estaba super limpia. Recomendamos fuminguen mas y mas seguido porque en el baño en la noche salio una cucaracha chiquita, de ahi en fuera todo estuvo bien.

(If I could give it less than 1 star, I would) Never in my life have I arrived at such a disgusting and unsafe place. We arrived late at night, around 11 pm, exhausted after a long trip, and the first thing we saw was a man lying on the ground, visibly drunk, urinating near the entrance of a nearby room. There were also people smoking and drinking alcohol right at the doors, creating a completely inappropriate environment for families. This place does not feel safe at all and is definitely not somewhere to stay with children or for a family trip. A terrible experience I would not recommend under any circumstances.
