First, an excellent location, right across the street from Mirror Lake, and minutes to the main street with all the shops and restaurants. They provided seating that overlooked the lake, amazing for coffee in the morning, and a drink at night. Pets were welcome (we left ours with a sitter). "Great cabins and location"

"Door was ajar when we first entered. Room was oddly located in a heavy traffic area which was loud throughout the evening. The room had a thick carpet which make the room feel dated. Bed mattress was squishy--not firm. And my wife could not wait to leave. The staff was friendly on check in and check out, but the price of the room ($350) I felt it was not a good value. Yes, hotel rooms in Lake Placid command a premium in the summer. But this was overpriced."
