"When booking at Basecamp South, the stress is on camp. The facility enjoys a great location within easy walking distance of downtown, restaurants, etc. Rooms are basic. Few outlooks, which are mostly filled by room amenities. If you want to watch TV, make sure you bring your own streaming services. Parking is both limited and risky. Within the facility there is no where to turn around. Parking on the street is a better option if you can find a space."

We made online reservations, then received a phone message wanting us to confirm the reservation but we weren't able to get ahold of anyone nor could the front desk help. "The Stardust Lodge was awesome. The rooms, pool areas and activities Center were very clean. The staff led by Victor was phenomenal, they were always ready to help whether it was for suggestions of what to do or go. My family and I felt so at ease here. The Stardust is centrally located right in the heart of South Lake Tahoe, a perfect spot. As someone who has traveled alot i can safely say they were one of the best overall staffs i have ever encountered. I look forward to coming back...
