"The staff was wonderful. The room had some issues but the staff tried to help fix them. The parking lot was tricky to get into. Breakfast was nice although not wonderful it sufficed. We only stayed for one night. The room size was good and it had a microwave and mini fridge."

"The Lamplight, as always, was spotless and well-maintained. The location can’t be beat- a block from the beach and super close to restaurants, shops and bars. My only wish is that each room would be supplied with its own Keurig. One of the treats of staying in a motel is waking up and having a coffee in your bedroom before you even get dressed. While coffee is available at the motel, I’d be happier not having to go outside and sometimes downstairs to get my morning caffeine fix!"

"The photos and price fooled me. It's basically an overpriced roadside motel next to a bar and not a very nice or quiet area. Very loud traffic from rt 9. When i turned over the comfortor on the bed the underside looked so worn and dirty that i left. It would be passable if they charged $75 a night. It's not what you would expect for $115."

"It was barely a step up from a motel. The bathroom had a really small tub and tiles that were stained and mildewy. The TV kept losing signal . I booked a king room with a couch and they gave me a queen . Travelled with my cousin . She booked a separate room. They didn’t have a room for her because they said if you choose the Expedia ‘pay at property’ option you don’t have a reserved room. I chose the pay in advance option . I never knew that if you don’t pay in advance on Expedia that you...

However, one thing to know before arriving is that the kitchen is not fully equipped when you walk in. If you plan to cook, you will need to request basic items like dishes, utensils, plates, pots, pans, and even a toaster from the reception. None of these are automatically provided in the room.
