Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows
10/10 Excellent
"This resort is a hidden gem. Far enough from the crowds of the "big name brand" resorts such as The Westin, Marriott and Hyatt and close enough to the shopping and restaurants at Whalers Village. The stretch of beach here is the best on Maui. The rooms are great and very clean. The views from the rooms are amazing. The staff and service here is outstanding."
"Overall the stay was great. We had an issue with our first room not being very clean but they took care of it promptly and moved us to another room. Pro tip: The Nāpili tower seemed to be slightly better than the main tower. The breakfast buffet was included in our res and was so so. If you order off the ala carte menu get the pancakes! The best. Pretty good gym overall but got super crowded on a couple of the days we were there. Possibly due to the marathon that was going on. All of the wildlife they have was a pleasant bonus. They have penguins and several different birds throughout. We don’t have kids but this would be a huge hit if you do. Valet parking is $55 vs $50 to self park. A little egregious but what can ya do. The spa isn’t directly associated with the hotel but it’s on property. We had a nice couples massage. The men’s spa was closed for renovations though so I wasn’t able to use the steam room , sauna or jacuzzi. For this they knocked 10% off the bill. I would stay here again … it’s not the four seasons but it has a lot to offer and was a reasonable price when we stayed in late April."
"Location to beach and beautiful grounds !! Pools top notch ! Black rock was fantastic my son loved jumping!! Food needs improvement on site. Staff was fantastic . Hotel could use updating, paint exterior halls update tile & need more access to microwave. "
"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The service was excellent from start to finish, with staff always attentive and eager to help. Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
One of the highlights was the breathtaking oceanfront view—it was absolutely magnificent and made my stay truly memorable. Waking up to such a beautiful scene each day was a real treat.
Overall, we highly recommend this hotel for its outstanding service, warm hospitality, and stunning location."
"The property was amazing. The westin properties are always fantastic and very disappoint with their hotels. the pools were amazing, the food was so good. Definitely recommended selecting the rooms with the resort credit because the food can get expensive real quick. Aside from that the rooms are nice (somewhat basic). Just a few steps from Whalers Village, a great place for shops and restaurants. Def recommended staying at Westin Resort and Spa."

6/10 Okay
"The property was beautiful. The pools were really nice. The room was very nice with washer and dryer in the room as well as a beautiful view of the mountains, however if our windows were open, we could hear the leaf blower every morning at 6 AM for about an hour which we’re not used to getting up that early. The staff really didn’t have the same information as the others because we kept getting a totally different story about the EV charger, which was why we chose that particular property we decided that we would pay more to get free charging at our hotel so we got a Tesla to rent. The manager Jordan was incredibly rude and stubborn. They charge $35 parking fee but they don’t charge for Wi-Fi but it’s equivalent to any other resort where they either charge resort fees are $35 or they charge parking for 35. It’s all the same.
The general manager did call us to apologize for the inconvenience and the poor communication. However, it was too late, and we have been loyal to this brand which we are now questioning."
