"I have never complained about a hotel before however, Soto was quite overpriced for what it was. The young female bartender was extremely inhospitable and rude to my friend and to another couple. She actually sneered l. The front desk woman seemed utterly harassed when we checked in—no smiles, no welcome.. just an awful experience. There was a smell of faint sewage or something foul in the lobby and halls and they were trying to cover it up with the use of scented air fresheners… No apology...

"We stayed at this property about 5 years ago and we had a great stay however this time the experience was terrible. The hotel has gone down hill and seemed old, tired and worn. We had to change rooms because it looked as though someone kicked in the bathroom door breaking the door and lock. The next room wasn’t much better. "For $200 for the night we got what you’d expect. Negatives: Nothing fancy, terrible beds and stains on the furniture in the room. We also had a dirty towel and a questionable stain on one of the bedsheets that looked like old blood. On the positive side, it was quiet, a safe area, and the staff were friendly. Fridge and microwave were in working order."

"If you like cobweb-covered light fixtures, dirt-encrusted carpet, musty stench and ancient unsleepable beds, then this is the motel for you. We booked in here expecting a basic stay, but this was so much less than that. Thick cobwebs looked like Hollywood 'haunted mansion' prop on bathroom lights. Drawer pulls literally hanging off the bureau drawers, room phone made of cheap plastic like a child's toy that didn't work, stained curtains, peeling wallpaper, all grubby/sticky to the thouch. ...

"No breakfast was provided. We waited from 7 to to 7:15, knocked on the office door, and called the phone number provided. No one answered and no one responded. The room was moldy, curtains were not fully closed, and tv did not have local channels. We also had multiple attempts to connect with Wi-Fi. We left the lodge at 7:30 am and had breadfast in downtown Lee. "

"The main drawback here is cleanliness. Carpets were heavily stained, top cover was mildly stained but the quilt and sheets were clean. Room has a smokey smell. Bathroom was clean. The shower head was excellent and flow was great. I think if they did a deep clean and re-paint of the rooms they could really improve the property. At the price point I think it's a decent value, as the other hotels in town are 2-3x the price."
