"Nice room and two nights cost me £88 , the only fault was the external front door didn't open and I tried for 45 mins , asked passers-by to try then thankfully the next door neighbour tried and it explicably worked! The second night I came back from my first day at Islington Council and the external/front door was open and remained so all night , luckily my bedroom door locked fine "

"A really good choice for my early Eurostar! Super easy walk across the road and I was there. Efficient staff, lovely clean modern room plus useful kitchen area. Highly recommended."

"Everything about the property and staff was great. We loved the location and the bar in the lobby had a great vibe. We did have one issue with the toilet in our room. It just did not flush consistently. There would be times that it would work on the first push then other times it just wouldn’t do anything. We asked them to look at it and it was supposedly fixed but never worked well the entire week we were there. "

"We stayed two nights at the Clerk & Wells. The staff was so helpful when we needed to have our luggage held and when we asked for local food recommendations. The room was adorable, nicely appointed and very quiet. "

"Perfect little spot for a night, tho we wished we'd stayed a bit longer. We appreciated all of the personal touches like the sandwiches and the complimentary treats. Word to other guests: please be considerate of others. Sound travels and some of y'all don't seem to realize there are other people in the vicinity."

"Its a very good hotel, super close to kings cross / st. pancreas. It’s small but I have stayed in smaller places in London so impressed with this place. It’s very safe, clean and does the job especially if you are hardly in the room. It is on a busy main road so can be noisy outside but that didn’t bother me because I have ear plugs to sleep anyway. Highly recommend this place!"
