"Everything was perfect up until the day of my wedding. My wedding was off the resort. The morning of my wedding they would not allow my makeup artist or photographers on. The day before I verified with them if it was OK and they said yes I need to pay for a day pass. The morning of they said no day passes available and that I have to pay a vendor fee of $800 per person. "We did not appreciate the constant loud music outside our room during the day. Even going to tho edge of property did not give us any peaceful quiet afternoons on the beach. Guess this is just not our type of resort. Sorry"

"the room was clean and the staff were nice but we were dealing with power issues the whole entire time i was there. also, we had a issue with telling the waiter that we had allergies an not once but TWICE did they not listen to what we said and one of my friend consumed the food that had her allergy in it. the staff was apologetic but luckily for my friend she allergy is not severe. "Beautiful resort! But… it needs much improvement. If your (African American) this property will not cater to you at all. I had to call on many different occasions to clean the room or ask for towels. Some staff were semi aggressive from asking basic things. Having traveled to other countries, we’d expect vacation service, not al la carte service as everyone expected a tip for basic things. Don’t think I would take my family here again. It’s also very far from the airport. "

Shanoy at the restaraunt exceptionally accomodating by dropping off a breakfast menu to our room because we couldnt down liaf the app. Property is clean, well maintained and beautiful. "I’ve stayed at a RIU in Montego Bay before, so I knew paying more usually means a nicer, more “luxury” experience. That wasn’t really the case here. Palace Tropical Bay didn’t feel like an upgrade, and honestly we could’ve just stayed at Riu Negril and been just as happy, if not happier.
