The location of the property was good, walking distance from Tower of London and restaurants. However the room service was non existent and one of the two elevators was not working and we had to wait several minutes just to get up and down.

We weren’t greeted with even a hello from the staff at the front door . Arrived before check in and was told to give our bags to concierge . Waited in the room but the bags never arrived. Called the front desk and was told they never received the bag ticket . Went down to the front desk and asked where our bags were . Went to the bag room where our bags were with the ticket sitting on the shelf . Housekeeping knocked on the door twice even though the dnd sign was on the door . The light switches were a bit confusing . The room was nice on the 4th floor . We were in and out town so not much interaction with the hotel itself . Shower was nice and hot . Acceptable accommodations but nothing spectacular. Probably wouldn’t stay there again but it was ok

Best hotel I’ve stayed at in a long time. I wanted to stay in our suite I loved it so much. I travel a lot and this was terrific. Husband and I are planning to come back just to stay here and enjoy more time. We bid on an upgrade to a suite. Worth every penny. Staff was complacent about our early check in and I had to complain a bit to get us to our room two hours after offered time but they gave us the charge back for early check in. Excellent view. Easy to get to two tube stations. East side so recommend taking the tube as it is much faster. We started taking Ubers but makes more sense to use the tube. Too much fragrance in lobby so if you are chemically sensitive (we are) watch out for that. Room had no chemical smell or fragrance and no sign of water damage. I’m a mold doctor and sensitive so this is important to me.

We were moved room 3 times, it wasn’t clean as stuff was still left from the previous guests even though we had been told the cleaners had just been in. We were there for four days and no one came up to clean or change our bedding once. We had dried blood staines on the bedding. The mini fridge wasn’t working, we were given a room for wheelchair access with the worst shower and we had to use the changing room showers downstairs in the pool area. The only good part about our stay was the bar area and the bartenders

The property was very well maintained and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast service was excellent and the chief who made the omelette in the morning was excellent. The room was very spacious and very clean and comfortable. This was the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in while in London. I would definitely recommend staying there again when I’m back in London.

I have stayed at this property numerous times and always love to return. I love the amazing swimming pool and the cozy ambient. Also a great location - short walk to the Tower of London and to the St Paul's Cathedral and great transport links.

Overall a decent stay. The kettle and coffee machine both leaked. Both days the soap dispenser in the shower wasnt filled and I was surprised there wasn't conditioner available. Long waits for the elevators at times. I'm not sure the hotel was worth what we paid for it.

I would have rated this hotel much more favorably had the lifts (elevators) and in-room TV viewing options had not been so terrible. At times the wait time for the lift could easily be 10 minutes. Simply did not work properly. TV reception horrible as well (unacceptable anywhere with today’s high end tech availability).

The property is nice, and close to the Tower of London and some public transit stations. The bed was somewhat uncomfortable and you can hear through the walls pretty easily. What I was mostly unimpressed with was the staff. I accepted an offer prior to my stay for an early check in (for 40 pounds extra) and when I got there exhausted from an overnight flight, there were no rooms available. I was told the concierge could hold my bags and “I could go explore somewhere for 4 hours until rooms were ready.” I never once had housekeeping come into my room for any reason throughout my stay even though I saw them out and about - generally huddled together giggling. And finally, on my final night my phone was stolen and I needed to make some calls to get travel plans back home switched around. I was allowed to use the hotel phone, but just kept being stared at like I was a nuisance. My mom and boyfriend kept trying to call my room that evening and no one at the front desk would even answer phones to put them through. It took me literally an hour to get someone to answer the phone just to schedule a wake up call. While the property and spa are nice, it certainly doesn’t make up for the staff. Head concierge Frank is lovely, the restaurant was great, but the rest of the staff I encountered left a bit to be desired.

The price for the hotel was very reasonable (circa $134 before tax). The bed was one of the most comfortable that I have ever slept in and I wish that I'd asked the name of the mattress brand. As a swimmer, it is rare to find a 25 meter lap pool.
