I arrived only to find they did not have my reservation. They said they could give me a cheaper room and showed me a room with an unmade bed and a strong smell of cigarettes. I left immediately! The photo online was definitely NOT from their hotel. DO NOT stay here!

The property for what it is is decent. Cheap rates and a clean enough space to lay your head for the night. The shower, bed, desk, and restroom were all clean. Though on my second night I noticed some outside bugs making their way in.
The management was nice and accommodating but it's just the area where it's at unfortunately. The surrounding area, while cultured, is dingy and dirty.
Though the greatest issue i had was parking. Unless you want to pay for a space in a lot, i suggest you get here early and find a space on the street. Leave your car there and try to move it as little as you can. Nothing is guaranteed and you dont want to be like me, driving around for 20 minutes looking to snipe someone's spot.
There are roaches everywhere. Our tv didn’t work. It was dog poop in the hallway when I first checked in. No wash clothes. We had a refrigerator. The staff tried to be helpful but they didn’t fix the experience.
The hotel is so scary. There was men half dressed on the stairs outside smoking and drinking the hotel made was moping the walls and steps outside. It was like and American horror story scene. You are not allowed to come in or out after 12 midnight. No guests are allowed. It smelled terrible i couldn’t even check in it felt like a very unsafe environment.
I turned back the bedspread and found a condom wrapper. Because I was checking in so late, there were no other rooms available (flight was delayed 7 hours). There was a hole in my window, garbage outside my door and piled in the alley below my window. Only 2 outlets worked, neither were in the bathroom. The lock on the door didn’t seem like it actually locked. Shower was nice. I checked out a day early and went elsewhere.
Look, this property earns its two stars. I stayed in the refurbished room 209 but still the outlet the ac was plugged into was wrecked. I needed to shim the outlet to get it to work.
There was also what I call the 3AM disturbance. Two nights it was a "guest" (maybe) absolutely hammering at a door down the hall from us which would lead to a terrific argument for HOURS... nothing from the staff. THEN on my final day it was a whining and barking dog for two hours starting at exactly the same time. WILD.
Seriously, if you can afford someplace else, grab it... BUT I do have to say that 209 was at least clean and recently completely redone... only saw one roach. ;)
Stay at own risk.
Cleanliness:
There was a spider living in the window.
Staff & service:
Check in took a while, and later they had to reconfirm who I was, as they had apparently forgotten my room had been booked by me. I won't say they weren't trying, but they were incompetent.
Property condition & facilities:
The whole place felt like an impoverished apartment hastily converted into a hotel. I never could get the elevator to work. Bathtub drain couldn't be closed. Sound insulation was practically non-existent, and I had to lie awake until 3:00am for someone else in the building to stop playing really loud rap music. Even then, the windows didn't really shield you from outside noises. The door lacks a swing bar lock and felt flimsy, which wasn't a good sign in a hotel with a sign saying they weren't responsible for stolen items. I won't go as far as to say it was unsafe, but it certainly felt that way.
Area around the property:
Skid Row.
Don't what category this goes under, but it also felt kind of sketchy that they didn't allow visitors.

The hotel has all the basics one needs for a quick stay, but the area is so unsafe. On my 2 night stay i constantly saw police and ambulances on the stairs of the hotel. There were also a lot of cockroaches roaming on the bathroom. I wouldn’t go back unfortunately.

I made a reservation and they did not tell me they would cancel it and did not reserve it for us. We were tired after a long drive and we knew we would get there late so we reserved it for two days. They sent a message and asked what time we would get there and i told them a time. After telling us they did not reserved a room they tried to accommodate us in a dirty room that had not been cleaned from the previous guests
Lobby was infested with flies….was assigned a downstairs room and was awakened by people digging in the dumpster
No bell or anything up front so I would have to wait a while for service
