Our room was very clean and the building itself, including lobbies, elevators etc were always clean as well. The decor was sophisticated, the pools at the water's edge were beautiful and and the landscaping was wonderful!

Everything about this resort was great for us! The rooms were clean, no matter where you went. It was only a five minute walk from where we were. I love that there are multiple restaurants to choose from, so many pools, tons of chairs, so you never have to worry about saving unless you want to be front and center. The food was good and the riu parties were really fun. There is always something to do and the shows were good :)

First time staying at Riu in Cabo San Lucas. Arrived 2/6, leaving on 2/10. Overall, the hotel was clean and the grounds were very well maintained. We had a King Bed which was not very comfortable, and had to request more pillows. The walk from reception at check in to our room was a good almost 15 minute walk. Didn't see any golf cart service or luggage service unless we missed this upon check in. Staff were not very friendly as you walk about the grounds, and the all inclusive restaurants have no reservations. Most of the food was pretty basic, and each of the experiences were similar cafeteria style service and food at each location. David was our only experience of great service heading to breakfast each morning. Just about every eating experience lacked a server seating us, or offering any beverage service. Most seemed ok to see you get up and serve your own drinks and coffee, and on a few occasions our table lacked silverware and/or napkins. The wait service is quick to take plates away from your table though. The pool and amenities were appreciated. We had a message at the spa and the was probably the best part of our stay. Beware Expedia showed us a $700 hotel credit for this booking but turned out to be hotel coupons for different services which required a minimum spend amount to receive a discount. Overall, for being an all inclusive resort, I was hoping the food and service would be a little better. This stay in Cabo was disappointing.

This is my second time at the Santa Fe. This time we travelled with our friends and had our room in building 4. We were very happy again with the resort, the staff and the cleanliness and the food was great. We stayed for 10 days and only have one complaint. The Steakhouse needs an overhaul on how it handles its visitors. We went twice during our stay. The first time we were told they didn’t take reservations and gave us a buzzer and said it would be about an hour. We got in 90 minutes later. Service and food was wonderful on that occasion. On February 1st we attended again and were given a buzzer and were told an hour to hour and 15 minute wait. After an hour and a half we returned to see how much longer only to find people on the waitlist after us had already been let in. Other people waiting said they were told to come at a certain time to get in with no buzzer. One couple complained and was allowed in while another couple guests who were told to come in were then told to get back in line while the couple who complained got in. The lady working giving out buzzers asked me 5 times for my room number and how many guests. We finally got in almost 2 and a half hours after signing up. The waiter basically ignored us, table wasn’t cleaned, we had to ask for silverware, had to ask for buns, were told there was no red wine but clearly saw there was and had to ask again for it. Horrible service. Otherwise the resort is fantastic.

Great experience, the stay was amazing !! The hotel was really nice, the maintenance of the premises was absolutely amazing, pools and pool deck spotless everyday, the rooms were spotless everyday and everything was always placed neatly. Reception was always there for any questions we had or if we needed anything. Every staff member made for a great trip and the food .... Food was great !!! Would stay again !!

Our stay at the Riu Santa Fe was short but spectacular. They employ an incredible staff that each go beyond expectations to help you. The bar staff were especially friendly and welcoming. The grounds are immense. They are kept beautifully. But, having some mobility issues I was not able to wander much. I would recommend a golf cart shuttle to the beach and back for those of us with children or health issues.

The room was clean and the staff were courteous however the resort has turned into party central. The 2 additional buildings have increased the capacity and the resort feels crowded. The infinity pool was packed. Not like how I remembered it 8 years ago. The beach is full of people trying to sell you things and some are quite pushy. The food was okay.

The staff was amazing here. The room had a musty smell and the bed was not very comfortable. Didn't have hot water for a shower the 4 days we stayed. Buffet had good food everyday... pools were nice, but had to get there early or they were full.... the locals on the beach selling things were annoying, asking you to buy something every 5 minutes....

The resort was clean. Our room was clean and kept clean. The crew was very responsive to service calls. The food tasted good, however, we did experience the “Mexican flu”. Hence the 3 stars. Anytime I have to spend precious vacation time in my room , the overall experience is down graded. Our room had something wrong daily. It was fixed quickly. But we needed to call daily for service. Our room also had mosquitoes. There is not a lot of SERVICE compared to other resorts we’ve stayed at. For example: You take your own luggage, ( no one brings your luggage to your room) go to the bar to get drinks,( no wait staff at the pools ) and most restaurants are buffets. Lots of walking, bring your bug spray, and your hat. The seagulls are big pests!

Overall, we had a good vacation. There were lot of activities which the kids liked. They couldn’t participate in some activities because of their age like the gym which was a major bummer for my teenager. The staff was polite and cleaned the room once a day. The food was okay, a lot of buffets.
