"Laurie was super nice and helpful with everything hotel and mackinaw city/island related. the campsite and beach were a huge plus. for a small motel it was very nice, clean, modern, and updated. would definitely stay there again."

"My two favorite aspects about this motel were that it is still privately-owned while others in the area are not; and it is not a two-story structure. Unfortunately, some of our neighbors were loud which you can’t always combat. I loved the coupons the office provided at check-in. We used many of them! The motel is about three blocks from most attractions. All in all, a nice stay in Mackinaw City."

"Very disappointing stay. The breakfast was of poor quality and exactly the same every day, with very little variety. Breakfast was only served from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, and there was a long queue every morning, making it difficult to enjoy the meal. The bathroom door lock in our room was broken. We reported the issue, but despite our complaint, it was never repaired during our stay. This was both inconvenient and concerning. Overall, the poor breakfast and lack of attention to maintenance...

"The Riviera is our go to place when in Mackinaw. It has bear minimum amenities, but is always clean and well maintained. Staff is very courteous. Within walking distance of several restraunts, shopping, historical sites and ferries to Mackinaw Island."

"The first night we were in this motel we had the NOISIEST neighbors upstairs. I couldn't believe how loud they were just walking back and forth and up and down the stairs right outside our room. I called the front desk to see if we could get a different room on the second story and the next morning we were moved! Absolutely no issues after that. The staff were so friendly and the location was perfect. Definitely recommend!"

I attempted to cancel my reservation only to be offered a 50% refund per the hotel policy. I decided to try this hotel the first room that they put me in did not have a fitted sheet on the mattress. It just had a flat sheet folded over the top half. They went to bring me a fitted sheet and we noticed there was ants everywhere all over the floor. They moved us to a room...

"Well, I won't recommend room 104 it needs maintenance ASAP. The carpet smells of mildew we asked to swap rooms but the workers are from other areas as this is a seasonal gig. I think they tried their Best, but I feel the shape of our room might just be the standard. The bathroom wasn't really clean to any standard you would expect for a hotel that is charging what we were charged. The tub feels like you could be the one that your foot will fall through(very soft in some places) like they tried...

"The rooms are so small the door wouldn’t open all the way in one bedroom and the other bedroom the are between wall and bed was narrower than my tennis shoe on both sides. The lamp flicked(not in a romantic way) because of exposed wires! The light did not work in the shower so it was dark! I did enjoy the price and outdoor hot tub and found the staff nice but wouldn’t recommend or go again."

"From the outside it looks like a nice place, the room was clean but there were ants in the bathroom. There was a fridge in the closet but no microwave, the room was dark as there is only one lamp on the nite table. The room is sadly lacking ac outlets and no lamp near the table. We have never seen a coffee pot like the one there, when you pour the coffee it leaks out over everything, also there was only one pack of coffee, we had to go ask for more.
