"The hotel offers a shuttle bus to Funchal but they only offer it twice a day 9.45am and 4.30pm most days and then charge 35 euros per person. Need to offer more times."

"I want to get the negative comments out of the way. the room that we selected (the superior room) was not what were expecting. it wasn't the biggest room we've been in and the balcony was very small so if we wanted to see the view of the park, we had to move the chair from the balcony to then open the door. and the mini fridge wasn't very cold even when we had it on all night when the room card was in. now to the positives. it was nice to see that there has been a lot happening in the hotel in terms of renovations and as always the hotel was in good condition. and once again the staff were excellent and very friendly and always willing to answer your enquiries about anything. really looking forward to returning next year."

"Excellent modern hotel in a fantastic location right in the centre of Funchal. Rooms were a great size and very comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful at all times. Lovely continental breakfast to start the day with a good choice was very good as well. Rooftop bar and lounge are were lovely and peaceful as well as affording a great view over the harbour area. We would certainly stay in the hotel again if we are to return to Funchal in the near future."
