"This is a quaint almost like a boarding house but very VERY far from Acadia. The hour plus drive was torture on really bad roads and locals doing 85 on 45 roads with twists and curves. Really tough at night and coming back from the park. Do not book if you want proximity to Bar Harbor. The breakfast is overpriced and the serving staff overwhelmed. "Carol and Carl thought of everything! The inn was an old Victorian, thoughtfully decorated in Victorian charm. It had two veranda‘s which my husband and I enjoyed sitting on. Our room,the Emerald room, had a separate door that took us right out to the rear veranda where we ate breakfast, had picnic lunches, and beverages at night. "We very much enjoyed our stay on this beautiful property. It was very relaxing. The staff were incredibly friendly, especially Casey. It's very close to Camden and Rockport. The facility is getting a bit dated, but still a wonderful place to stay. Would return and highly recommend. Also, I had the best warm lobster roll at McLaughlins in Lincolnville."
