"The location of the hotel was its best feature, situated within walking distance of Waikiki, shopping and restaurants as well as our daughter who lived near by. The staff was friendly but unable to address the many issues with the hotel. For instance, the room we had was in bad need of renovation and repair: - -The curtains of the one large window were torn and the gaps were covered and held together with construction tape. --The door to the cupboard that held the mini fridge had a broken hinge on the top and the door hung only by the bottom one which made it difficult to open the fridge while holding on to the door without injuring oneself. --The windows to the room were not well sealed and the endless noise all night long made it nearly impossible to sleep. --The furniture was old and in need of repair. --The room was in serious need of painting. --The room was not cleaned every day. --worst of all, there were two small elevators, and one was broken during our entire stay, taped up with large tape. Our room was on the 15th floor, and it was sometimes difficult to get to and from our room and in a timely fashion. In short nothing in the room was as advertised. Not a hotel to be recommended to anyone. The only reason we suffered all the above was the convenience of being near our daughter."

"We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Outrigger Paradise Hotel, lovely room, very friendly staff and even with the option to get a room for half an hour on the day of check-in to freshen up after our flight due to an early arrival before check-in was possible. The location is another big plus, as it is right in the center of Waikiki Beach and every local amenity can easily be reached by foot. We can only recommend this hotel to everyone else planning to stay in Waikiki for a few days or even longer."

"This place was not a resort. It was a hotel. The amenities were basic. The decor and condition was basic. The restraints were basic as well. I will not come back nor will I recommend this hotel to anyone. Hilton is a way better option."
