"Cute idea, just poorly executed! The domo has no actual floor its just some boards with bamboo between some of the larger gaps, so the dome is filled with spiders, crickets, ants and other bugs. Booking this type of accomodation we expected some bugs but this was hundreds of bugs, and being stung and biten all night, so we got very little actual sleep. Also when we got there the dome looked cute but hadn't actually been cleaned properly, stains on the pillow cases and sheets. Very...

"We enjoyed our stay at Rancho de Lelo. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and friendly. They booked activities for us in Monteverde and recommended a great restaurant. The breakfast was quick and fresh. It was a pretty property though we didn’t get to explore much as we spent most of our time up in Monteverde. "

"The room and facilities were clean, my only complaint would be the area itself, out of control of the hotel. There was someone sleeping on the sidewalk in front of the hotel when we arrived and there really isn’t much to offer in the area. We only stopped for the night to catch the ferry the next day and thought that there would be more to see. "

The rooms are cozy, with spacious modern bathrooms, warm water, and good pressure, which was especially wonderful after a long day of activities. There is limited storage for clothing, just 2 small benches and a few hooks - fine for a solo traveler but could get a bit crowded with 2 people. " Difficult to find in the dark but there is gate with name on it and they’ll open it for you to enter . Parking at mini-house. 2 bedroom, 2 bath, full kitchen. Deck with sun bathing area. Jet tub. Patio. Good wifi. Fans. Big zapper. Lots of bugs. Water was not always hot but warm. Great onsite hike with amazing views! Would come back!"
