"De passage pour une nuit en raisons professionnelles, j’ai été très surpris par l’accueil du personnel, sans suis d’un dîner exceptionnel que ce soit du service en passant par la présentation des plats ainsi que par le côté gustatives des plats. Tout cela dans une très belle salle!!! Ensuite arriver dans la chambre c’est pareil, tout est très soignée il y a énormément de détails on s’y sent bien ! "Expensive. Our superior room was on two levels which meant we would have had to go down stairs in the dark for the loo. So we opted for another room with a shower over the bath. The shower head had to be hand held as the bracket attaching it to the vertical rail was loose and so the shower slipped down. The bed was hard. "We had planned a stop enroute to the south of France. It was chosen as a country location that would be quiet. It satisfied that requirement. It was a little difficult to find as TomTom for some reason had it in the middle of Lapalisse. Once that was sorted it was easy."

And eat in town - this towns cafes and restaurants all require reservations - i at an italian restaurant for lunch and no mentioned you needed dinner reservation- they told me i didnt ask - customer service is non existent - kept hearing what would Saint Margaret say ? "A nice little hotel, which is well located in the city. It is run by the family and if you do not speak French so good, witch I don't, the wife speaks very good English. Her husband understands English, but replies in French and that works for me. Safe parking in the backyard. I had a very nice dinner and I think the husband was the Chef. "
