"Good stay "

"The place is great, very quiet and peaceful. My only complain is that the furniture and carpet in my room was old and that was an issue for my mother in law who had an allergy problem, and we could feel the sprungs on our mattress. The rest was great, the swimming pool, hot tub, all great. "

"Lots of convenient parking. The breakfast was great with freshly cooked food to order and plenty of fruit and pastries. The bedroom was larger than average with two upholstered chairs and bathroom with a real bath."

"Breakfast has a great variety to suit all including healthy options which I usually find difficult, so I was very impressed. The quality of the food is excellent overall and the staff are very helpful. Coupe not fault the service. I did not give 5 stars because I would have dusted the bedroom better myself. Yes I am fussy, so I expect a hotel room to be as clean as my home when I pay for it. "

"Room was spotless and appeared to have been recently decorated. Unfortunately there were cracks in the sink and the hotel generally looks a little tired. The hotel staff were amazing … all so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Particularly Aziz at breakfast and the wonderful bartender Mal. He couldn’t do enough for us, moving furniture around and asking us if we wanted any particular music to be played. He really went above and beyond to make my 89 year old mum’s evening. "

"First room was appalling…. Usually every village hotel experience we have had has been first class and clean. Not the case with Bury unfortunately. We told staff and got another room which was better (club room) but still had some blood? Stain on the walls and windows were marked with hand marks but I was too embarrassed to complain again. The corridors, lifts and general areas were grubby. We have stayed at Hull, Chester, Edinburgh and this was by far a total letdown."
