"The hotel was easy to find and convenient for my late arrival"

"Little issue with getting wrong room when we got there was fixed quickly. Be warned there is no lift and quite a bit of stairs, was fine for us. Breakfast buffet was really good with all the parts of an English breakfast. We walked to downtown Carlisle easily. Excellent Sticky Toffee Pudding in hotel restaurant. "

"This is an exceptional find near the centre of Penrith. A spacious and comfortable guest house, great value, a short walk from the centre of town, with private parking, excellent service and a variety of delicious breakfast choices. "Spent two nights and had a great time staying here. The hosts Nikki and Alan are the best. Nothing and I mean nothing is too much trouble for them. From stepping through the door they made us feel welcome. Nikki upgraded our room and changed our tv as the one in the room needed re-tuning. "Super clean room, was nicely designed & a warm welcome. Had dinner at the restaurant which unfortunately the service wasn’t great really slow & forgot one of our parties meal & drinks order (I would understand if it was super busy but it wasn’t) but they were friendly in general couldn’t fault that. The hotel was lovely giving really cosy vibes & the receptionist was lovely. Would recommend & the surrounding area is really nice for walks. "
