"Staff at Oulton Hall are the stand out feature. From check in to Oliver in the restaurant to the waiting staff at breakfast, all are well above expectations. Old school service where staff wait for you to pass rather than rushing to get where THEY need to be is actually quite refreshing these days. Can some things be improved, sure but this hotel has a lovely pool, great dinner and breakfast and just a lovely vibe. Check it out, for the most of us, it’s a wonderful experience. "

"Lovely stay - nice room overlooking the canal. Breakfast was good, but glad I included it at booking as the daily rate is a bit steep i.e £20 for full English Breakfast. Always perplexes me when it is a double room that there is only one chair to sit on around the table - why not two chairs, as you don't always want to sit on the bed. Good checkout, and left my luggage for a few hours. "

"This hotel was fantastic. Great location close to the train station. The upgrades inside the hotel were very nice and modern. My only complaint would be that the nightstands don’t have drawers and there’s a real lack of drawers in the rooms. But slippers included with robes is a fantastic touch. It also happened that there was construction happening all night long right outside my room, which is not to do with the hotel, but was super inconvenient. Otherwise, a great stay and I would stay there...
