"Very pleasant 1 night stay. No complaints about anything. Hope to return in summer to enjoy the garden. Very popular with the locals by the look of it. It would be my choice of place to meet friends and family if I were local. Loved the roaring real fire when we arrived on a cold wet day. "

"Lovely lodge Lovely grounds lots of animals to see birds peacocks roaming in grounds . Only thing went for meal at main hotel and found it disappointing due to being over cooked or warmed and not over nice.. being the only ones in restaurant due to early seasons put it down to that."

"The staff were all exceptionally friendly and very helpful…. We went ‘off piste’ re the breakfast menu and this was not only accommodated with ease, but wonderfully cooked too. Bravo the chef 😘. The bed was comfy and spacious. The showers, hot and powerful. The only downside was that the room was slightly chilly and the plug in radiator did not work enough to warm it up….. The standard of cleanliness could have been better, but maybe that is determined by the age of the property….. We stayed 2...

"Staff in the restaurant/spa bar/spa were really helpful and pleasant. The indoor pool was great. Sadly we didn't get to use the outdoor pool as it rained but it did look very nice. View from our room was lovely too. We booked breakfast on one day but found it too much after dinner the previous night. We ate at taste of Cornwall one night. The food was very good but the room was very dark and the music stopped a couple of times and nobody around to turn it back on, so lacked a nice ambience."

"The hotel was exactly as described in photos. Clean, classy and very good value for money. We couldn’t hear any guests within property. Shower was powerful and nice and bathroom was clean. Bed comfortable, duvet thick but airy which was the perfect combo. Outside space from the room was well presents and clean. No bad smell and easy check in. Only thing I would critique is we couldn’t open window wide enough for our personal choice and could do with curtains as well blinds as that morning sun...

"Perfect location! Can't beat it - such a pretty place. On our check in, there was live music so couldn't even get into the pub to check in. Given the rooms are upstairs, an early night was not on the cards. Breakfast was good. "
