I picked this hotel due to previous reviews and the closeness to some bars and istikal street and a train station.
On arrival we were lucky enough to get the top duplex which suited is for the extra size. Check in was very friendly and efficient. The staff even offered to arrange a tour for us along bosphorus river was a nice touch.
Complimentary water was also provided.
If i return to Istanbul i will definitely look to stay at The Story Pera again.

Excellent hotel and staff.
Location may not be ideal for less mobile due to steep approach path/ roads but otherwise totally recommended

Very nice hotel. Extremely well located, close to İstiklal street, Şişane metro station. Lots of eating places close by. Staff very helpful. I had chosen a superior room which was extremely spacious and comfortable.
My only criticism would be that their breakfast was unremarkable. Having got used to other hotels having a widespread breakfast buffet, the breakfast at this hotel was quite sparse.

I had a great stay at the hotel, very conviently situated as it was near the main sites. The terrace restaurant had fantastic views of the surrounding areas. Staff were friendly and helpful.

First of all, a huge thank you to Engin, Hussein, Murat and everyone at Emerald Mansion Hotel for being such wonderful hosts! They were warm, pleasant and welcoming from the moment I arrived at the hotel and Engin was more than happy to help plan my itinerary on days I made few plans. Hussein was equally as hospitable when booking my itinerary.
I really cannot fault my stay at Emerald Mansion Hotel; it’s clean, new, comfortable and within striking distance to Sultanahmet Square where you can...

Superb customer service from lovely staff; the indoor cave pool was fantastic and we usually had it to ourselves; breakfast was excellent as was the restaurant for dinner. All in all, a top notch experience.

A family of four. Two teenagers in their own room. We booked two executive ocean rooms in the Al Qars . The upgrade was excellent value as your picked up at the airport, you can eat and drink in the executive or premium lounge and you have your own concierge. The staff all call you by your name and they genuinely make an effort to be personal and authentic. Manju an Indian boy in the executive lounge at level five was great and so were everyone we came in contact with. We ate at Shimmers, the...

Great hotel, excellent breakfast. Very good location for restaurants and walks into the old town and the coast. Excellent views from the hotel. Swimming pools are lovely, although banning smoking around the pools themselves would be a plus (likewise on the lobby balcony). Overall a fabulous place to stay.
