"Nohga Hotel is a good place to stay in Kyoto. It’s near to some of the attractions. The bakery offers great food. Amenities of the hotel are excellent. The room is on the small side with the bathroom vanity on the hall no separate like normal hotel rooms. Not much space if you have a lot of stuff. Overall a good hotel focused on eco-friendly stuff. "

"This traditional Japanese hotel near to Kyoto main train station was the perfect base for a few days in the city! It’s a large hotel and very busy but still felt quite traditional with its tatami mats throughout (you have to take your shoes off as soon as you get into the hotel) and an amazing onsen which is open all night. Bonus was the free post-onsen ice cream to cool down, and late night ramen. It was very clean and the staff were friendly. Only downside, like many Japanese hotels, was the lack of space to store clothes in the room so I was glad to have a load of packing cubes to organise my clothes!"

"I really enjoyed staying here! It really caters to family and large groups. We had the washer/dryer in our room and I enjoyed the convince of cleaning and drying my clothes in the room. The hotel offered suggestions on local shops and things to do in the area. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from main shopping area, however a great location to have peace and quiet at night. There is a subway one block away from the hotel and 711 down the end of the road. My kid loved it here as well. They have an area for you to relax your feet in hot water after a day of walking. They offer coffee and wine. Very helpful with having your luggage shipped to next destination. I will be coming back to this hotel when visiting Kyoto again. "

"the room is not cleaned except upon request (notification), the staff is ok, helpful, willing to help you with anything but they don't speak fluent English, they don't bring you water in the room, the location is excellent Breakfast - n/a"

"The hotel was good overall and had a convenient location. The room size was actually quite good for Japan, which was a nice surprise. The hotel itself felt a bit old and could use some renovation. The air conditioning in the room wasn’t controllable—although they informed us about this from the beginning and even provided a fan at check-in, which helped. Cleanliness was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a pleasant stay."
