"Cool vibes at Ace Hotel. Friendly up beat staff that always made us feel welcome. Room was large and very comfortable. Nice and quiet too. Food and drinks at the Italian restaurant and Mexican restaurant were great! Great central location that was close to a train station was a bonus. One staff member went out of her way to help find me an eye doctor in a hurry as we were trying to catch a train. I would highly recommend The ACE hotel."

"The room smells like it has a bad drainage system. Once we enter the room and it smells like the toilet has been backed up. The fabric spray provided was useless. Attitude of staff were mixed, some discrimination were definitely present. Felt harrassed by the staff to settle the bill due to deciding to have extra guest in the room which we also had already decided to pay for. "

"Really cool place. Very clean and so close to one of the train stations. Also very walkable and super nice and quite neighborhood. Only thing was the washer and dryer service. There's only one set for the entire hotel. I love the room and how spacious was."

The shower and very large bath tub are amazing! Very close to great shopping and Nishiki market. We hope to come back soon for a longer stay."

"Nol Kyoto Sanjo is a beautiful hotel in a great area of central Kyoto. Rooms are very zen-like and very clean! Location is perfect for shopping and dining. The staff is super friendly and helpful too. We will definitely stay here on a future Kyoto trip!"

POSITIVES: The room was a great size (compared to some Japanese hotels) with good, customisable lighting (some hotels have had very low lighting in comparison). Had 2 variety of pillows, one with an Interesting neck support thing inbuilt, which I loved. Great location, 500m walk to nishiki markets for food . "This was one of my best experiences traveling to Kyoto. The staff at check-in were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean, and cozy. All the amenities were conveniently located, and we easily found everything we needed. We were traveling with our 1-year-old child, and having an entire house to ourselves—including space to store a stroller, a tatami room, and a proper bathroom—made our trip especially comfortable and enjoyable."
