"We stayed at Hanare by Tokyu Stay for about 6 days. We found the property to be very nice. We love the refreshments that were offered, the breakfasts that were included even though it wasn’t onsite. The location was convenient and close to public transportation. The rooms were spacious and clean. "

"The room smells like it has a bad drainage system. Once we enter the room and it smells like the toilet has been backed up. The fabric spray provided was useless. Attitude of staff were mixed, some discrimination were definitely present. Felt harrassed by the staff to settle the bill due to deciding to have extra guest in the room which we also had already decided to pay for. "

"The property was underwhelming for the price paid. The property was in an excellent location and the traditional room feel was great. But we had to ask for tissues and toilet paper to be replenished several times and there was no mini bar or room service (although there was a self service lounge with free drinks and snacks). A nice place but not worth the cost. "

"This was one of the most comfortable places we have ever stayed in. Felt like home and so close to everything you need in Kyoto. Outside of the room the hotel is very minimal so don’t expect someone to be downstairs when you arrive or leave. This isn’t a negative, just more like your own apartment than a traditional hotel. "nol kyoto sanjo is a true gem of a hotel/ryokan. The location was perfect: close to all the major destinations in central Kyoto and within walking distance to Gion. Our room was a combination of western style comfort and japanese style ambiance. The room with two beds and a nice sofa was spacious and comfortable, the bathroom had a nice shower and a hiba bath. The sink area had a double-sided large mirror that was innovative in design and very convenient for two people to use at the same time....

"We were a family of 2 adults and 2 children staying in the Moderate Large room. There was space for 4 beds that were futon style set up on a platform but no seating area. There was limited space for luggage storage which is typical of a Japanese hotel room. The washroom was spacious, clean and modern. There was a bathtub as well as a shower. Special shout-out to the amazing staff and the room breakfast, very nicely presented, proportioned and absolutely delicious. The bathtub is so deep and the shower is great. The bed is like a cloud.
