However, in every other respect, the Fujiya will be a highlight of our time in Japan."

"This hotel was very close to the last stop on the cable car train which is a narrow train that goes up the mountain from Gora. Luckily we used the luggage same day storage and forwarding service from Hakone-Yumoto station because it was crowded on the cable car train and it would have been difficult to board with our suitcases. We stayed in a suite with our own hot spring tub. Dinner and breakfast was included in our plan. The service was impeccable. The host and hostesses were polite and...

"This is a great place for a weekend get away. Everything in the town closes at 5 so be mindful of that when visiting the town. Food is very good and highly suggest trying the Japanese style breakfast at least once. It was a very neat experience. Traditional breakfast was very basic. "

"Highly recommend for the authentic Ryokan experience. It has an authenticity to it that the fancier places don't. Staff and service were amazing. Onsen were great with some fantastic views. Definitely a must if staying overnight in Hakone area. "
