"The staff was so welcoming from the time we arrived. The hotel property is beautiful. It’s about a 20 minute walk to Florence but they also have a shuttle. I’m a walker so I preferred to walk but it does have hills. The breakfast was so delicious I miss it. They have free parking which was important to us because we were renting a car to drive to Tuscany area."

"The building doesn’t look like it has had any money spent on it since the 1980’s.Very shabby hotel, shame on the owners, it could be fab. Had holes in sheets and towels. No duvet it’s a 1950’s style blanket between sheets. Not hygienic these days. Dirt and dust everywhere. Cushions with stains on. One pillow each. Dining chairs in the breakfast room all broken. "What a quaint four night stay. The nuns managing the desk and the grounds were sweet and helpful. The room was neat with a pleasant balcony view out into the courtyard. A bit longer of a walk to central Florence but only blocks from the train station. A unique property to unwind after experiencing a great city."

"Enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Villa Sul'Arno in early April. The accommodation was amazing, a beautifully conceived and comfortable junior suite with a balcony overlooking the river. "The hotel was lovely Chic and cool - very spacious room i was on the 4th floor and had a Corner room. Staff are nice and friendly and work hard. The only gripe i has was that in the room there are no water bottles nor are they replenished: I think You have to ask for water and they bring to you which I Never did, i went to local supermarket and got some any way. I’ve been in 3 star hotels and water is given as standard but other wise it’s central and in walkable distance to everything. Staff...

"The room was impeccably clean, to quote my wife, who owns her own cleaning company and is incredibly fussy. So very high praise indeed. The hotel is very well located within 10 to 20 minutes walk of most major sites in Florence. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good supplying everything except eggs and reasonably priced at €8.00. We have vowed to return to Florence one day and that includes this delightful hotel. "
