"Great location with bit of snorkeling right off the dock. Not Sofitel but also different species seen under dock (maybe even a zebra shark resting). Gorgeous big bed; big bathroom with hot water. Can walk to town for coffee or lunch/grocery store. Next door to Cook’s-polynesian dancing Tuesday pm. AC not needed but nice to remove stuffiness after hot day! Ignore older reviews! Wi-fi did quit one am, but staff worked quickly to remedy!"

"Great location, wonderful people and service. Horrible food - had an undercook chicken burger and overcooked mushy pasta and poor service. One and only meal at hotel. Amazing restaurants nearby."

"Let them plan everything for you as we planned a lot ourselves before we knew they offered it and it was way easier than you don’t have to worry about renting a car. You don’t have to worry getting lost . They picked you up there for all your tours and excursions and it is a magical beautiful place.!"

"Jean and his family were very hospitable. The food was DELISH. We snorkeled and swam from the private beach. We enjoyed a private cabin with its own bathroom. I would return there for the price and culture. Most of the experience is quaint and family friendly. I enjoyed the porch the best. If you want room service and amenities it is more like staying with family. This was a great stay on a budget and we felt treated with value. Jean was knowledgeable to share snorkeling sites, hikes, dive areas, and more local info. The drinks were good, the food authentic. It wasn't over populated either like the large hotels."

"A great value for money to stay if you are on a budget. The bathrooms and kitchen are shared but extremely clean and adequately equiped. Although Vaianae Lodge is on the quiet side of the island, the owber picked us up from the ferry and driven back to the lodge. We were picked up for and dropped off our tours.Great foods fans and supermarket nearby. Highly recommended"

"Amazing resort and the renovated rooms are beautiful! Breakfast was great. Staff are very friendly and the beach is stunning. If you can, splurge on the overwater bungalows. Truly a bucket list experience and stay. 10/10 honeymoon experience for my fiance and I, and the hotel made it extra special."
