The property is full of wildlife, and we were able to watch spider monkeys swinging from the trees from the balcony of our room, as well as watch a variety of native birds and other native creatures without going anywhere else. "We had a really great stay at Hotel Volcan Verde. It was a lovely location and cabin to stay in. Staff was helpful in getting us organized for different activities. Grounds were very quiet and the garden was fantastic! Great restaurants around and a nice balance between nature and proximity to different amenities. Would for sure recommend. "If you go to look this place up for directions use GOOGLE MAPS. Apple Maps will take you to the wrong. The room we stayed in was as described, the shower head had low water pressure and could use a new one. Rooms were cleaned and maintained everyday and the breakfast was a small buffet style Costa Rica breakfast."

"The property is great ane fairly centrally locates to get between the different activities, even if you rent a car. One downside that needs to be considered is safety around the waterslides in the pool area. There was 1 lifeguard watching both slides that emptied into pools that the guests were swimming in. No one was really watching to make sure individuals were out of the way at the bottom of the slides, not is there a way to see if the pool is clear before sliding. This can lead to a trip...
