"We’d booked a sea view room but then upgraded to one even larger and a bottle of chilled fizz! Wonderful to be able to sit by a bay window watching the activities in the estuary and harbour. Lots of drinks options in the room, tea, coffee hot chocolate and water. Breakfast was also excellent. Friendly helpful staff. We’ll be back! "

"The room was ok for an overnight stay but any longer and it needs comfy seats, not just a bed, to sit on. The curtain had been pulled off the rail on one side, so did not close easily, but the bathroom was roomy and very clean! The staff are delightful - very professional and helpful... They clearly like dogs at The Godolphin and accommodate them with flair! We sometimes feel dogs are just tolerated, though not here.....!! The food was just ok.... "Communal areas in the hotel were stylish, comfortable and immaculately kept. Staff are an asset, absolutely every single one of them appeared to want to be there and make your stay as special as possible. Breakfast was lovely, great choice, local produce and all freshly prepared. We stayed in a "Cosy Double" - room 10 - we knew it would be small (and it really was) so I can't really complain about that but I have to say it wasn't very well kept.
