The place was very beautiful, peaceful and comfy. Didn’t really get to explore the property much. But my husband and I would definitely stay there again.

Alex and his mother have a beautiful property with macadamia nuts and fruit trees that you can eat from. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable. I wish we could have spent a little more time, as we were only there for 1 night. Would reccomend.

Kellie was truly welcoming and accommodating, giving us a tour around the place when we arrived. Such a lovely and unique stay, and it was an added bonus that we were able to go foraging for fresh macadamia nuts in the yard! Truly like paradise. The location is also a great place for stargazing at night. Thank you again, Kellie!

We enjoyed our stay here at Hawaii Island Resort, it was pretty remote but between volcanos park and the airport so we picked this location. The hosts showed us how to look for and crack macadamia nuts but we only each found one edible one but it was fun trying! Beautiful property. There are a lot of amenities in the main house that we didn’t use but I’d imagine would be amazing to have a few friends staying at the property too it would be a very fun chill space to hang out in. The bed was comfortable and the room was minimal, we slept with the windows letting in all the night sounds (no A/C but breeze was cool enough at night and there was a fan that was good enough). The experience gave us a more true Hawaii experience than a hotel would have. This place is more like an Airbnb than a hotel. It’s cool that it is listed on Expedia. Not sure if there are restaurants nearby but we did catch a farmers market on our way in in the closest town which had a lot of good prepared foods.

Memorable stay!

This is a small resort on a beautiful property! The owner is on site and she’s friendly and always gave information about things to do and places see. There are several fruit and nut trees on the property that she allows you to pick from. Great place overall!

Chambre vieillotte et humide, trace de moisissures dans la douche. L’heure de départ est 10h30, on nous a averti de quitter la propriété et non seulement la chambre. Prendre en note que les propriétaires possèdent des gros chiens. Café disponible mais rien d’autre et c’est loin de tous magasins. Bon WiFI.

The owner Kelly was very friendly and helpful to give us advice about local activities. The room is clean and spacious, and offers free good coffee and tea. We had a very good time here!

The property host, Kelly, was wonderful and informative. The owners dogs were friendly and my kids loved them. The pool was awesome and had an old-school-style slide! The property was beautiful.

The property is fantastic, parking is easy, the common areas are good, you've coffee and tea available, the staff is so friendly. The rooms are a little old, but with new floors and quite clean. The beds clean too. South Point is so close, eating and shopping options are somewhat limited.

My husband and I loved the privacy of the resort’s location - quiet and peaceful property surrounded by macadamia nut trees! The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful when it came to suggestions for places to check out on the island during our stay. We wish there had been laundry facilities for use on the resort but it sounds like that is in the works. We also enjoyed the pool, the pool table, and the ping pong table. Overall a very nice place to stay and in a great location (halfway between both major cities with plenty to do in between).

Kelly, the owner, really goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay. The place is amazing too with plenty of stuff to do, like a saltwater pool, pool table, ping pong, a place to watch movies, gym, etc. You can eat from the many fruit trees and the macadamia nuts. Definitely the best place we have stayed so far! No breakfast though. And no nearby cafe or anywhere to get it. Just mentioning that because it is still categorised as a b&b on some sites
