"We booked an en-suite Japanese room. The futons didn’t get rolled away in the day. We arrived and there were no towels in the room. They were provided when we asked. The room had a toilet in one room, a “bath tub” in another- when I say bath it was like a load of pallets nailed together! At least there was plenty of hot water. "Quite possibly one of the hidden gems of Hakuba Goryu. If you want the true Hakuba local experience and taken back in time, this is your spot. No frills and feel like you are staying with your relatives. Amazing hosts that go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. "My husband and I stayed at the Richmond hotel for two nights. It’s in a great location, and the rooms were reasonably priced and clean. The staff were really kind, and helped organise luggage forwarding to our next hotel. Our only bugbear was that we could hear other people on the floor - they were pretty loud. It would be great to have had a little more sound proofing. "
