"We stayed in their special Hello Kitty room and it was everything as promised. Super fun to get special merch and a huge plus to have a fridge and a place to sit. It was also located quite great and right by the older town of Kyoto and a short walk from Gion. Only minus though is the short check-in hours and other than that the hotel is not staffed. Everything is also a code and we made the mistake of taking a picture of the wrong one and had to go through quite the hassel with getting it back...

"清潔で、設備も思ったより古すぎることもなかった。アメニティも一通り揃っていた。 朝食は”英国風”の宿であるので、イングリッシュブレックファストを期待していたが、ただのサラダやソーセージといった洋食ミックスでガッカリした。 スタッフか、オーナー家族なのかは不明だが、宿のスタッフが全体的に、感じが悪く、無神経で失礼で驚いた。こんなに気分の悪い人たちが働いている宿は初めてで、選んだことを後悔した。お勧めしません。"

"Walking distance to ski slopes which is great unless the chairlifts are closed and you can’t ski across. No Ubers and it was a pain to get the shuttle bus to Hirafu where everything is (only 1 per hour). There was only a pizza shop and restaurant next door and a cafe down the road so a quiet village.
