The room was clean, but it looked and smelled very old. The walls and floors showed visible wear, especially corrosion in the corners, and the bathroom was outdated and in need of upgrades.
However, the worst part of our stay was the treatment we received from hotel security. We had paid $20 parking as part of our stay and on the second night we were sitting in our car talking for a short time before heading inside when a security staff member approached us and told us to leave the parking lot, questioning why we were still in the car.
He asked what room we were staying in, and even after we showed him our room key card, he continued to be passive-aggressive and tried to find reasons to remove us. He claimed that because the room was booked under my name and the car was under my husband’s name, we were not allowed to stay. I explained that our license plate had been registered during check-in and asked him to verify this with the front desk, but he refused and said he only checked the cameras and that registration “didn’t matter.”
The interaction made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. Because of how poorly we were treated, we packed our belongings and left the hotel immediately. This was unacceptable customer service, especially for paying guests who had already paid for parking as well.
