"We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Saga Reykjavik. We felt welcome from the time we checked in until our departure. The daily breakfast was also a fantastic start to our day. The room was very comfortable and bathroom amazing. Our only suggestion and very minor detail would be to allow guests to turn the temperature down further than the air conditioning allowed to a preferred comfort level as we found the room quite warm at night even with the window slightly open being cold outside."

"Good value, clean warm room in the heart of Reykjavík. Check in was painless and we managed to get an early check in. It is not fancy but it does meet your needs. The big positive for this property is location, very near all the main areas for restaurants and bars but tucked out the way to be quiet. I would come back here if we come to Reykjavík again. "

"Loved the location, the building was very clean inside and out. Lacking basic room amenities. No TV, radio, or anything anywhere in the building. Power outlets in weird locations. Wasn’t pleased that we couldn’t even enter the building until check in time, that definitely needs to be looked at for future customers with luggage. "

"The staff was fabulous! She went above and beyond to help us get our luggage, park our car and recommend a place for dinner. Our rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. Great location near everything."

"This place is great but be aware that there are several bars nearby with patrons that are very loud at night"

"Overall this was advertised as a ‘luxury’ property and priced as such. It is not. The hotel does not have a bar, a proper restaurant and the breakfast buffet was the poorest stocked we have seen in Iceland (including several outside Reyjavik). The spa area was unappealing. The room was overheated due to a overheated bathroom floor; with no temperature control gauge. The overall feel is that of a formerly grand hotel overtaken by time with a badly used furniture feel. I will never recommend it."
