"This is an old hotel where you can grab a drink at the beautiful lobby. However, the rooms are old. The bathroom was not clean. The tub had other people's hair. The actual room is just old. The breakfast was not good. "

"The staff was great! The hotel concept is very cool! Be prepared for possible noise overnight. Parking is self park and shard with the Amtrak station. Payment for parking was also a hassle. The room was well designed, not the cleanest (hair in the bathroom shower, etc). The bar had a good selection."

"Great location and parking. Staff was pleasant except in the restaurant where they seemed way too busy to be bothered by non-drinking customers. Also, temperature in the restaurant was frigid - so cold we got our food to go because it was so uncomfortable. TV was out during a storm - they should consider ditching satellite. "

"This hotel is a prime example of you get what you pay for. The pictures are misleading. Elevator was not working so I had to walk up 5 flights of stairs. When I get to the room to turn on the TV, the remote doesn't work, go down to ask for another one the response is the manager took it and isn't here. A sign that says on the vending machine use at your own risk. It was only one night. Spare yourself"

"this was the absolute best place to stay in memphis! it’s exactly as shown in the photos, but somehow better? the room’s flourishes were so thoughtful. we were greeted by squirrels in the morning. the hosts were communicative & the whole process was smooth! we will definitely stay here again! oh & the shower.. the water pressure is perfect & the shower gel/hair products smell divine!"

"Everything about this place is fabulous. Staff are outstanding, location is marvelous, nearby restaurants/shops are outstanding! The welcoming glass of champagne upon arrival was deeply appreciated. I cannot wait to visit the River Inn soon! Thank you all for a wonderful stay."
