"We loved our stay at this gem of a BnB. The massive bed and the hearty breakfast gave us the energy to explore the area and made any jet lag a non-issue. Sue and Gary are wonderful hosts and provide as little or as much interaction as you want and were very helpful with ideas for locale, especially dinner. Sawby is a cute English town and the locals were very friendly when we went for walks."

"First, the room was not as advertised on the number of people who could sleep in it I had to pay for another room for my kids. After, that we settled in and noticed the rooms were not cleaned. The bedding,floor and toilet was had dirt from the previous guest in fact I was too ashamed to let the staff know after paying extra money had to leave the next day as early as possible. "

I phoned to say that I would be late for final check in (10pm) and Alexandra, the lovely lady on the front desk, made sure I was checked in dignity and made me feel so safe about arriving late. This was my second time visiting The Swan for work trips to Blyton Park track. Couldn’t recommend this B&B enough. Perfect for solo female travellers."

"5 stars isn’t enough for Eastdale B&B. The property is immaculate. Liz is an exemplary host. The breakfast was excellent and was all quality ingredients. Parking is easy. I travel extensively for business and Eastdale B&B is the best accommodation I have stayed in for a very long time."

The owner was pleasant and greeted the guest, explaining the facilities adequately however, there were a number of issues: There were no towels provided (contrary to what was stated on the booking), there was no breakfast provided (contrary to what was stated on the booking), the free wi-fi was unusable and there were mouldy banana's in the cupboard! "Through Expedia, I've been able to secure several nice stays for budget prices. This was a different, inferior experience. They tried to make it seem 'economy' .I was annoyed by automatic messages from 'Harry' telling me to text after 2 for a code, when check in started and when I'd arrive by pre-arranged means. "AVOID THE HOTEL VERSION OF A SUPERMARKET SELF SERVICE TILL. No staff AT ALL on site. You’re sent a code to get in. The room was horrid. Broken bed, rips in curtain. Leaking toilet, broken toilet seat and sink plug. Heavily stained carpet. I ARRIVED but if you needed to speak to someone, you had to ring a number. "While the room was cheap it wasn’t very clean the shower was filthy the windows was filthy the vinyl the soap dispensers was very dirty, had a hand towel with the edges all frailed at the ends no light as you come out the room onto the landing I was left a soft brown banana that was left for the breakfast two days in a row and a slight brown apple . The breakfast sandwich was a cold defrosted bacon and sausage sandwich with the date it was frozen or defrosted on it I can’t remember. I’ve stayed...
