location is good, room looks good but didn't clean surfaces and mop during the 4 days I was there,also Water was leaking out the shower area, so we had to put towels down to avoid slipping, The TV didn't work: they said it would be fixed, but it only worked on our last night. They need a better customer service

Jenny was super sweet. We arrived at 8am and she allowed us to check in early before our 3pm check in time. This honestly saved us because we had so many bags. She also gave recommendations and told us about their Wallflower speakeasy. The location was amazing, everything was like a 20ish minute walk. The room was cute and modern. The shower water pressure was amazing and lots of mirrors for getting ready. The bed was also huge for my friend and I. It was decently clean. Location was great and the bar and restaurant next door was cool. Only thing that threw me off was on our second day, a lady in the elevator asked if our room was clean because hers was nasty and moldy. She told us that they had 5 nights booked but were leaving that day to go to another hotel due to the state of the room. We didn’t have this experience but it does make me hesitate to rebook! I feel like my friend and I were lucky this time but for the future we don’t know if we’d get a good room again. Lastly, their front desk is kinda silly. They don’t have computers, just the worker and their laptop which I thought was kinda janky. I feel like they need a better set up.

The location of the property is great. The hotel itself seems very run dow and old. The property has a very very overpowering perfume smell all throughout. The smell is the strongest in the hallway and seeps into the rooms. The room itself was tiny and very dusty and dirty. We found rat droppings in our room. Would not recommend to others

The room was very clean. The shower had hot water and good pressure. The AC unit was loud and didn’t drop lower than 70. There was a water refill station in lobby. Staff was very friendly and helpful in holding our bags after checkout.

The Henri's location is great if you are looking to be centrally located in the City. Great access to all neighborhoods. When we entered our room there was trash under the bed. We had a double bed and 4 guest and only one set of towels. We had to ask twice to replenish the towels. Staff wasn't available to bring it to our room. The bathrooms were my favorite part of the room. Very spacious. Overall good hotel for the price.

When I booked my NYC trip, I was confident that my stay at Hotel Henri was going to be good based on the photos etc that I saw online. However, I did see some reviews that said things like ‘hotel staff aren’t available for help beyond 10pm etc’ and that made me a bit worried since I was checking in close to midnight. However, I reached out to the hotel via email prior to my trip and was reassured promptly that everything will be in order etc. I appreciated how efficient the communication was even before I arrived. The staff were very kind and helpful especially Kyo and Gady! Shoutout to them! The location of the hotel is perfect. It’s close to a subway station (even though I did not use the subway while in the city), it’s close to all the shopping stores and avenues, the area feels safe and while it is busy, it’s not super chaotic which I appreciated. The room was VERY spacious (which based on my research is quite uncommon for NYC). It had a fridge, coffee maker, iron, and all the other necessities, except for a microwave. However, I was told that there is a microwave available for use on the ground floor as well as water dispenser etc. The room was also very clean, and housekeeping did a great job daily. The room was very well designed with a wardrobe as well, and the lighting could be adjusted which was so nice. One of the small lights in my room did not work but that did not bother me at all. My only negative would be that the walls between the rooms are very thin!

Hotel Henri is a solid pick if you’re looking for a central NYC location without the sky-high price tag. It’s comfortable, and perfectly situated for exploring—ideal if you plan to be out most of the day and just need a reliable place to land. Rooms are on the smaller side (very typical for New York), so it works best if you’re okay with tighter space. One thing to note: if you’re in a street-facing room (like most NYC hotels), it can get pretty noisy—especially early mornings with garbage pickup and deliveries.

Overall, I had a good stay and would give this hotel 4 stars. The room was clean, surprisingly spacious for NYC, and the bed was very comfortable — definitely a plus after long days exploring the city. There were a few inconveniences, though. My room didn’t have a TV remote, and there was no phone in the room, so anytime I needed something or had a question, I had to go downstairs. The front desk was also clearly understaffed — one young woman was handling everything on her own, juggling multiple guests at once. She was incredibly efficient and doing her best under pressure — I really hope they’re paying her good money for all that she was managing on her own.

The location is convenient and the room itself was clean, which are definite positives. However, the overall experience was impacted by outdated amenities and lack of basic modern conveniences. The room did not include USB charging ports, which is something most travelers expect today. More significantly, the air conditioning/heating unit appeared very old and was extremely loud—comparable to an airplane landing. It ran throughout the night and made it difficult to get virtually any sleep. Another drawback is the lack of secure luggage storage. There is no designated luggage room; instead, there is only a small, open area near the front desk with very limited capacity, which does not feel secure or sufficient. While the hotel meets basic needs, the outdated infrastructure and noise level significantly affected the comfort of the stay. We will not be returning.
