Great stay at the Beechwood, highly recommended. It has everything that you need from tea/coffee, hair dryer and super clean.

I like the fact that there plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby and public transport is easy to find. Really friendly people in charge of the accommodation too. It lacks nothing.

Very welcoming from the owner Rez. Small room but facilities good. Very clean and very quiet when I stayed. Convenient for restaurants transport at the South Shields Interchange. Lovely coastal walk.

Booked the single room which is quite small but has everything and more that you need first thing i notice was how spotless and fresh smelling the room was bed very comfortable and had a great 2 night stay absolute gem of a place for the price will definitely use again

Rez is such a lovely proprietor, he ensures your stay is the best it can be. The cleanliness is second to none and the rooms have everything you need and more. A lovely place to stay.

Very nice place to stay - the whole building is in excellent condition and spotlessly clean. Spent two nights there and will most probably return for another stay later in the year.

We stopped at the beachwood hotel just for two nights we will definitely stay again it is very clean and tidy made to feel like at home by the owner the breakfast was very good 10 out of 10 it is situated close to the beach and to the main town and shops had a really good night's sleep both nights this is how a B and B should be .

Excellent Stay

This was the second time I’ve stayed in South Shields.Everything is easily accessible from the Beechwood,which I couldn’t fault in anyway.It’s clean,comfortable and the owner is very welcoming.I certainly hope to stay again.

An americans hideout from the election

Throughout my travels in the UK I stayed in a number of hotels and the Beachwood was easily my favorite. Very comfortable beds, amazing location, a great shower (you dont realize how much of a difference it makes till you use a bad one). The owner was very polite and helpful throughout my stay. Overall i would highly recommend this place for any traveler!

Easy Check in. About 10 to 15mins walk from the metro station. Res the Host was very good he carried my suitcase to the room. Could not see a spec of dust any where really clean. bed was comfy. Bathroom was good Shower took about a minute to get the water hot. Breakfast was good and cooked breakfast was hot not luke warm like most premier inns. And Res a great host and nothing seemed to much trouble for Res to sort out. So very much one of the better places to stay.
