"**A lovely, welcoming stay.** The hostess was really friendly, and the room was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. The location was ideal for the Portsmouth ferry, about a 15-minute walk, with a supermarket, Wetherspoons and plenty of places to eat nearby. The only minor drawback was the temporary breakfast room, which was a little cramped while the main room is being converted. We'd happily stay here again."

"The room was lovely and clean, missing a shelf in the bathroom but otherwise in great condition. We found the mattress to be too hard but the room was quiet with a nice view from the window. Breakfast was nice and the dining room wasn't crowded, the only thing missing for us was fried eggs. The hotel is in an excellent location, close to the ships and Gunwharf Quay shops, cheap/free parking was another bonus. We would return to this hotel."

"For those planning to visit the dockyard, you can't get any better. We had a great view of HMS Warrior from our window. The hotel is directly across the street from the rail station and the bus station and about 100 yards from the main entrance to the dockyard. The owner was very nice and accommodating.
