"Room was very nice and the bed very comfortable. We had the Charles Grey suite and the layout was a bit interesting, though added to the unique charm of the hotel. Bathroom was immediately inside the entrance and the bedroom was down a flight of narrow stairs. There were other stairs to the suite as well, which made it slightly challenging to navigate with large bags. Know that going in.
The shower was perhaps the only complaint. It was a nice, glasses in shower, but the design was a bit poor. If the shower door was not properly closed and the hand wand used, you could end up with water everywhere on the bathroom floor. Awkward really.
The lobby was nice, the staff welcoming, and they even had a little plant "library" where you could borrow a plant and take it to the room for your stay.
We were only there for one night, but it was a very cozy stay after what amounted to 24 hours of travel for us to get there. We slept like babies.
Location was great, only a short walk from the train station and there was lots of shopping and dining options close by."
