"We loved this hotel everything about it the rooms were clean and comfortable beds. The even had heated floors in the bathroom wow!!!! Tesa made our breakfast top notch and provided excellent service."

"We had an absolutely amazing one night stay here! The accommodation is amazing and such a homey feeling. The room was a great size and came with everything we needed. Was a nice surprise to have a cheese platter and crackers on arrival! Breakfast was great, truely couldn’t fault our stay. The hosts were so lovely and helpful, would highly recommend to stay here and will definitely come back!"

"The location is excellent but that is where it ends. I have no idea why everyone is giving it the 4 or 5 stars. Please people tell the truth.
The rooms are mediocre at best and very dated. The shower robes basically told the full story. They were fraying to bits. The bed was uncomfortable to sleep in as the mattress seemed very tired as you sunk right into it and the electric heaters gave such a dry heat we had to turn them all off. Freezing was a more comfortable option.

"Perfect place for a romantic winter getaway. Stunning grounds, great room with lovely views, the lodge was cozy and the food was great - the breakfast in particular was amazing. Dinner was expensive but it didn’t disappoint and convenient onsite. No TV in the room but no need with the cozy fireplace. Bed was comfortable with nice linen. "This is a really beautiful place and the room was enormous and the layout was so in keeping with the heritage level of the building. There was a tea set for tea or coffee, a king sized bed, a sofa for relaxing and a bath. Total luxury!"
