"Staff helpful and luggage transfer service from Osaka to this hotel in Kyoto arrived same day and Kyoto- Tokyo Disney the next day . Hotel clean and tidy and room was the biggest Iv had in Japan definitely suitable for two adults. Shower was very powerful and room cleaned daily . Beds soft and tv had Netflix. Buffet breakfast was okay and would probably skip if your given the option it’s basically just eggs and bacon, miso soup and some pastries/ coffee/ tea . Better food to be had away from the hotel . Very far from stations and convenience stores about 10-20 minute walks and as a female solo traveller, Kyoto is quite dark when walking of a night so be aware . Close to nishiki market about 10-15 minute walk and 25 minute walk across the river to gion area. Two closest stations were Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae Station for the Tozai line and Karasuma Oike Station for the karasuma line (direct to Kyoto station for Shinkansen) both stations are 15 minute walks. Overall hotel was good for price and had everything you needed but just a little bit out of the way for transportation."

"I really enjoyed the convenience of the location. It was right across the street from shopping and down the street from major shopping. The employees were very helpful. They stored our luggage before we checked in held it until we departed hours after checkout and helped set up luggage forwarding service. The size of the rooms were larger than I expected. The couch sitting area was much welcomed and allowed for our group to relax and spend time together in the evenings. I also like the free whiskey that was given on a daily basis and the unlimited tea from the dispenser in the lobby."

"Just finished a 5 night stay at the Ace Hotel in Kyoto, absolutely beautiful hotel with fantastic staff all round. Front desk staff couldn’t help enough, and the breakfast….one of the best I’ve ever had in a hotel, and I’ve had too many over the years. Great location as only a 2 min walk to the nearest metro station."
