"The overall cleanliness was adequate. The lobby washroom was poorly maintained. All the toilets were full of urine and feces. Whether this was an act of goofiness from hotel guests or others. When I walked in I was hit with the mal odour equivalent to a roadside outhouse. Hopefully this is not representative of the Marriott standards."

"We were a little concerned when we arrived, as another guest's vehicle had been vandalised - windshield smashed and glass everywhere. There were no further incidents during our stay. Hotel staff were friendly & helpful, although we were not given the ticket for our free breakfast which delayed us eating. It was resolved in a timely manner though. An old, historic hotel and beautiful views over the water."

"There were pumpkin seeds on the floor of the entrance for 2 days. The bathroom needed to be re done as the caulking was black and moldy. We asked for an extra pillow and I was told if he could find one he would bring it to my room."

"I usually prefer Hampton hotels. The breakfast is decent, the beds are comfortable and they are well maintained. This location was no different. We stayed here while passing through on a long road trip. The hotel was shockingly overpriced on the way back for some reason so we stayed elsewhere. It is a short drive to the waterfront area which was a great place to go for a walk with our dog after so many hours in the car"

"We were coming to stay in a hotel for a few nights in Thinder Bay for a wedding and came here, unsure of what to expect. The property is nice and new everything’s clean and the staff is so helpful. They even remembered my name! I would highly recommend staying here and it was great to have a full size fridge in our room. I would definitely stay here again!"

"I only needed the room to catch an early morning flight. The room was clean, but a little dated. The shower was amazing and the bed was quite comfortable so the room suited its intended purpose."

"This place is very dirty. When I pulled back the bed clothes you could see the outline of the previous person on the bedsheets. I don't think the bed got changed. Bedding was sour, greasy and smelled of unwashed bodies. Behind the door in the bathroom was disgusting. Hair and who knows what. No AC. The stink of the forest fires was in the room all night.
