"The Crown is one of our favourite places to stay. We would never visit England without making a stop for a few days at The Crown in Chiddingfold! The staff are wonderful and welcoming! The rooms are comfortable and historic!"

"Friendly welcome. Characterful room with good quality tea tray. Great breakfast. Unfortunately the room was not overly clean and the bathroom in particular was tired, run down and felt grubby. Black and dirty sealant around the outside of shower. Broken tiles on floor, broken loo roll holder, grubby and badly marked walls and thick dust/grime on skirting. With a deep clean and a little maintenance this could be a great place to stay."

"Once probably a very poice hotel. Now without proper maintanance overpriced and very noisy. We had a good room, premium, although the fridge in the room was taken out, light in the bathroom didn’t function. Breakfast was very poor, very basic with almost nothing to choose from. Spa was ok."

"The room was clean and very convenient as it had an external door to the car park. The room was too hot, not helped by the towel radiator which always on. Not needed when the weather outside was 25⁰C. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We had breakfast in the moving of our departure which set us up for the rest of the day."

"Excellent stay for the night, at a really good price compared to what was locally available and which were inferior to Barnett Hill in overall value and quality. We checked in at 23:50 without problem, and although the signage could probably be a bit clearer in terms of arrows to especially at that time of night, we found the room eventually and it was clean and well prepared. Only downside was i couldn't work out if we had hand soap for the bathroom albeit it might have been in an amenity...

"This was by far one of the best inn rooms I have slept in for years. The bed was big and comfortable with a great mattress topper, two big wide windows for air. There was both a bath and a shower and both were clean. Tv and great coffee machine with plenty of milk and sugar with milk alternatives if needed. "VERY poor hotel, arrived late (11:30pm) after a long drawn out journey and for some reason had to wait 30 minutes to check in, no queues just poor service (and a printer that wouldn’t print - really?). Got to the room to find it was a dirty room uncleaned from the previous occupant. Waited an age again to get a new room which was freezing and in the noisiest part of the hotel. Had to request a heater to make the room habitable - it didn't work. The hotel rooms are just shabby. Not a great...

"We arrived and we're upgraded which was nice. The room was clean and modern. We wanted to use the spa and had to pay £10.00 per hour pp which wasn't expected. Then the steam room wasnt very hot so that was disappointing. This should of been mentioned before we booked. The breakfast was good. Not somewhere I would visit again in a hurry.
