"Unfortunately, my stay at this property was quite disappointing. The room did not meet basic cleanliness expectations. There were visible long strands of hair (including what appeared to be blonde human hair and dog hair), which made the space feel poorly maintained. Noise was also a significant issue. Other guests were inconsiderate late into the night, and there was no effective way to address it. I attempted to contact the front desk, but it appears it is not staffed 24 hours, and calls...

"We loved our stay at Fern River Resort. Tucked beneath the trees, it felt peaceful and fully immersed in nature. Our cabin was clean, cozy, and warm, we lit the fireplace in the evening and unwound after a beautiful train ride through the redwoods. "The room was super clean. Vaulted ceilings, walk-in shower with awesome shower head. The bed was really comfortable and the AC worked really well. There is only 1 washer and 1 dryer. I was constantly moving one man’s laundry (3 loads) from the washer to the dryer to the folding area. He would leave and not return for 45 minutes. The hotel was great, really clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again."

" Absolutely amazing location, easy walk to the beach and boardwalk, Beach volleyball, the super long dock, and electric bike rentals and the coastal bike path right there. Easy to get to downtown, lots of food options, and even a convenient store within walking distance. A little rough around the edges with the room and pool quality, but very reasonable for the price. Would definitely stay there again, my teenager loved it too. I love being able to hear all the kids playing on the soccer field."

"The floor was covered in chicken and goose droppings because there were no fences and many chickens and geese ran around, even pooping in front of your room. The outdoor hot tub was completely unusable, and the tub was full of leaves, mud, and dust. It looks like no one has ever cleaned it.I messaged the host on the day I checked in saying there was no hot water outside, but they didn't reply until the next day when I was about to check out."

"The parking is a bit challenging, tight spaces and on a hill. Otherwise really reasonable and close to restaurants, the boardwalk and shops. Great overall! "

"Breakfast was simple but great for a quick meal to get you going. There were a few folks that were a bit loud, but it didn't last long. I liked it and will return."

"Hotel was very clean except that we didn't have any towels in our bathroom. We had to go down twice and waited for maybe more than 30mins before they brought up some towels. Pool was really small but who cares? The beach is just right in front of the hotel. Our stay was overall enjoyable."
