Fantastic little hotel, great location minutes from metro. Small but perfectly formed room with everything we needed. Can’t comment on breakfast as we didn’t have it- so many places nearby to eat.

Hotel Ernest was fabulous. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was great - had a balcony room and loved it. Will definitely stay there again.

Solo Paris trip

Great little boutique hotel that was perfect for my solo 3 day pre-business trip visit to Paris. Love that it was located so close to a Metro station and the convenience of a grocery, shops, and restaurants near by. Great value for the money.

En av dem bästa hotellen i den klassen som jag bott i. Mycket trevlig personal som var mycket service inriktad och alltid positiv inställd. Tunnelbanan låg runt hörnet och man hade i och med det tillgång till hela Paris.

Ah, the classic Parisian hotel experience — and Hotel Ernest delivers it in full, for better and for worse. The photos look fantastic, and the hotel itself is charming enough in person. But if you're expecting the rooms to match what you see online, prepare to recalibrate. The rooms are genuinely tiny — even by Paris standards. Unpacking a large suitcase becomes something of a puzzle, and moving around requires a little creativity. That said, this is Paris, and central Paris at that. Small rooms are practically a rite of passage, and once you accept that you're essentially paying for the location and the postcode, it's hard to be too upset about it. For what you get — a decent place to rest your head in one of the world's great cities — the price-to-location ratio is reasonable enough. If you're spending most of your time out exploring the city (which, let's be honest, you should be in Paris), the size of the room matters a lot less. Just pack light, keep your expectations in check, and you'll have a fine stay. A fair option for Paris — just know what you're signing up for.

A great little boutique hotel, nicely designed rooms and helpful staff. The rooms have a espresso machine, kettle and tea whilst the bathroom has toiletries available. Soft drinks, snacks and coffee are available in reception. This is. Wonderful intimate hotel, perfect for a romantic trip or sightseeing Paris. A metro stop is one street away and there are nearby bars and restaurants. I will certainly stay again.

We loved the pleasant and accommodating staff and the charming historic building with modern room ammenities decorated beautifully for Christmas! That said, the rooms are small and there is no lift, but we knew this, the cost of the stay reflects this and so were ok with it going in. The neighborhood has some great cafes and restaurants (Giovannis for Italian!!) very close by. The neighborhood is safe and has nearby public transportation as well!

Hotel Ernest is a small, boutique-style hotel that sits on the corner of Rue Faubourg du Poissoniere. It is a short walk to the underground station (Poissoniere) and cafes. My room and amenities were all updated/new but rather small. There is also no elevator, so rethink lots of luggage if staying here. Although, the staff is happy to help carry it up/down for you. It was a safe and convenient stay for me.

I stayed two nights and overall the property was to my liking, but I think I would rate it even higher if they had an elevator I was on the fifth floor. And I could see that I didn’t appreciate the fact that I was so high maybe it’s my fault for not seeing that they have no elevators but I wouldn’t stay there again if I was in the fifth or fourth floor or even the third. My advice is ask and what floor you would be during reservation, but I don’t think they know that in advance. The room I really really liked it though. Also a lot of dining options and it was quite safe around the area. For breakfast, I will rated a 7 out of 10. It was good, but it’s not worth the money. I was lucky enough to have it included in my rate but my advice if you have to pay extra for it, you would be better off going to a traditional bakery or a breakfast place. Overall, if you were staying for many nights, make sure you’re not so high up and that you don’t have a lot of suitcases because it’s kind of tiring walking up a lot of stairs.

I booked this hotel because it was inexpensive and near the Gare Du Nord, and it already had solid reviews. Sure enough, the room was comfortable, clean, and super quiet. Don't let the tiny reception area fool you, the included breakfast has the European essentials - meat, cheese, pastry, fruit, and quiche. I, along with a few others, left bags in the hall prior to check in. I was a little uncomfortable with that but the very nice receptionist had their eye on things. I do have an Expedia complaint -- the property sent me messages prior to arrival and the app wasn't working right so I couldn't read them. It's likely the messages were how to get into the hotel! The front door is locked. You use a door code, or you can press a bunch of buttons and hope you reach reception (which is how I eventually got in). It looks like you're going into an apartment building rather than a hotel so I was pretty thrown off. But everything worked out great.

Nice 6th floor slanted ceiling room but no stair

This is a quaint hotel, very unassuming from the outside, and no frills inside, though my room on the sixth floor was nice with slanted ceilings that gave it character. The biggest drawback was that this property does not have an elevator so I got a workout going up the six flights every time I returned. Having said that, the stairs are semi spiral shaped and made of beautiful varnished wood.
