There was an overwhelming sent of perfume in the lobby, and sitting area. Just awful to walk into that. It was very unnecessary and could not sit to drink coffee because the sent was so overbearing. The staff is friendly & nice. Don’t Expect water bottles in the rooms, only filtered in the lobby. I found alot of dust in the room and the sheets give off so much lint. So keep your stuff away from the bed. Major plus is the subways are down the block & it’s a lively area so you won’t feel unsafe.

OKKO Paris Est is my home away from home when in Paris. It’s only a few hundred meters from the platform of my High Speed Train service to Strasbourg. 5 minute walk also from Gare du Nord. Situated near very important transportation hubs. Places to eat and shops in Gare De L’Est. The booking design is refreshing and the CIWL Orient Express train theme within the hotel is very neat and well thought out it beeing right next to platform 1 of Gare De L’est. I’ve stayed here a dozen times and love it here.

We had the HARDEST time finding this hotel. Turns out it's inside the gated area and you don't need to press the random button that they have there lol. This hotel is kind of a sketch area since it's by a train station but very convenient, just wouldn't recommend walking late at night. Front desk staff was nice. We we got our room, the sheets were dirty so we had to ask them to replace so not cleanest hotel. They do have complimentary drinks and food in the lobby which was nice especially if you're on the go starting your day.

This is a 4 star hotel and it looks like it was put together with ikea or children’s furniture. Very small space and tight. It was noisy inside the hotel. This location was in a dangerous area in the city. It was however close to the metro, bus and train station

Yet we understand tastes in design are a very subjective matter. The area around the stations Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord are densely crowded and lively. as is often the case near major stations of big cities. Our security agent and the staff at the reception are here at night to ensure our guests feel safe. Even though the neighbourhood might feel intimidating, to our knowledge, no guests has had problems in the vicinity of the hotel.We are very sorry your stay did not quite reach your expectations. Clean tidy compact clean rooms at a good price
Great place to stay if you want to be near either Gare Du Nord or Gare de l’Est No noise at all from the trains and a great bonus benefit of having the lounge with snacks and drinks too

Great affordable hotel
Absolutely lovely hotel, the staff were all amazing and very friendly. Absolutely silent room , couldn’t hear any noise from outside whatsoever. Will definitely be going back when we go back to Paris.

A nice hotel but be v.careful which room you get
A nice boutique style hotel however we had horrendous sleep with the room located directly above the kitchen and service entrance outside with deliveries and heavy duty loading and unloading plus kitchen operating causing huge noise issues from 02:00 - 10:00 AM on each night. This was flagged to the hotel and seemed it wasn't the first time they had heard this complaint about the same room so I would certainly check where you are located to ensure a good night sleep, the hotel didn't seem very full so not sure why they would use this room as a bedroom as I would certainly say it is not fit for purpose and can be seen from the outside the poor positioning but I'm sure you would have a better stay in any other room and since leaving the hotel have refunded the booking.

Such a gorgeous room. Very clean. Very modern. Even quite large for a Paris hotel. The staff were amazing. The lobby and rooms were spotless. The only thing we didn't love was the area surrounding the hotels, but that's to be expected around 2 large train stations with many options for travel.
