"The view from the second story deck is the main thing that got us, it is amazing! Unfortunately, I overlooked the fact that all rooms are on the second floor, and that there is no elevator (this is noted in the details on the website) - and that my wife and I (in our 80s) are having difficulties with stairs these days. Seems like only a few years ago that was not an issue, but after one day here, we were feeling distressed, and asked to be released from the remainder of our 5 night reservation. The owner, who was attending the desk, was very sympathetic, agreed to relieve us of any further commitment, and notified Hotels.com of our situation. We received a full refund of the charge for our unused nights.
The hotel is as advertised, a pleasant and quaint place to vacation, and if the stairs are not a problem (as they would not have been to us not long ago) you will be very pleased with the Hand Hotel, and the great staff who will do everything possible to help you enjoy your stay."
